The mystery song “?” before Gloria was… a surprising Deacon Blue hit.
Great night and there was a real sense that the crowd were very enthusiastic about the McIntosh Ross material. Silver and Gold, Summer, Got A Little Joy, All My Trust I Place In You and Gloria all got massive cheers at the end of those songs, and I think 99% of folks loved Jesus Nailed My Sins Upon The Tree and were annoyed at the one smart alec heckler… who still didn’t manage to spoil a moving bit of the gig for everyone else.
Just spent a wonderful few hours in the presence of Jimmy Webb in Edinburgh for a special Another Country on New Year’s Day. Don’t miss it!
You should play Witchita Lineman in the set. Davie has sung it live in the past…
