I went to the Milton Keynes gig on Friday and enjoyed it so much I just HAD to get tickets for London. I’m glad I did! As other people have said, hearing these songs live really does bring them to life. I liked the album before I went – I absolutely love the album now. There isn’t a track on it that I want to skip and I’ve been playing it loads!
If I was trying to think of a highlight from the live shows it would be difficult to name just one. I waited in anticipation both nights for Jesus Nailed My Sins Upon the Tree and I wasn’t disappointed – spine tingling stuff for me. But Silver & Gold, All My Trust I Place in You and Gloria were also stand out tracks. Having said that, it feels wrong not to mention Got a Little Joy which really added the feel good factor. On top of that there was the brilliant The Great Lakes and the outstanding Cover From the Sky.
Those 2 nights were really exceptional for me and it was great to meet up with some fellow fans from years ago. Ricky, Lorraine and co. I really wanted to tell you face to face how much I enjoyed it. Unfortunately that didn’t happen but I hope it’s more than clear here!!
Can’t wait until the next time. x
Loved the London show Ricky – hearing the new songs live really brought the new album to life for me. Thought the new band worked really well and would love to see the same line-up do a mix of old and new on future tours – think it would work really well.
I’ve been to many of your DB and solo shows over the years, but Saturday was the first time my girlfriend has seen you live, and she absolutely loved it. Thought it might please you to hear that she went into the gig having never heard any of your previous stuff (she doesn’t even know the DB material), but now considers herself to be a big McIntosh Ross fan.
Anyway, just wanted to say keep up the good work to you, Lorraine and the rest of the band. We all really appreciate the fantastic music and wonderful gigs you’ve provided us with over the years. I already can’t wait for your next shows, which hopefully won’t be too far in the future.
Please come to Spain!
